Tango Argentino in Gera
|
|
We have been passionately dancing the Argentine tango since 2002.
We are Marion and Rudi Detlef from Gera.
Since then, tango has captivated us completely.
We can be found regularly at milongas and encuentros in Germany and Europe.
Of course, we have also visited Buenos Aires, the birthplace of tango, several times.
Several times a year we organize the Milonga Al Compas Del Corazon here in Gera. We have been offering regular classes and workshops here since 2010. We discovered our dance and our own style in workshops with renowned tango teachers and developed and perfected it through many prácticas. Our stays in Buenos Aires and our engagement with the history and codes of tango have particularly shaped our dance style and our tango philosophy. Since 2007, we have performed as a show dance couple at many events. We dance and teach Tango de Salon, Milonga, Vals and Canyengue. Since 2009, Rudi Detlef has been active as a Musicalizador - Tango DJ and, as a Sound Engineer, ensures the perfect sound in every milonga. |

... our Tango Philosophy:Do you speak Tango?Argentine Tango is a language. You take the letters, form them into words and create sentences from them. You communicate with your dance partner, you speak to them with your body, you suggest, you answer... you talk to each other in the language of Tango. The MusicArgentine Tango is walking together to the rhythm of the music. The music is the foundation of the dance and the connecting element of a couple. The rhythm and melody can be interpreted individually by the dancers. Changes in tempo and breaks are possible. Dancing Argentine Tango is a way of interpreting the music and translating it into steps and movements."A good dancer is one who listens to the music... We dance the music, not the steps." "Ein guter Tänzer ist jemand, der auf die Musik hört ... Wir tanzen die Musik, nicht die Schritte." - Carlos Gavito Leading and FollowingTango is based on the principle of leading and following, or even better, of giving signals and responding - "Marcar y responder". The man invites his partner to a movement, she allows herself to be led and responds to his impulses. Through the movement of his body, he guides her steps and gives her the space to do so. However, this distribution of roles can also change within the dance, so that the woman gets opportunities for improvisation. He reacts to her signals. Dancing tango is communication. The DanceThe dance posture in Argentine Tango is not rigid, but comfortable, yet with a certain tension that allows the partner's movements to be received and felt. The guidance is provided by the movements of the center of the body and the upper body, not by the arms. Communication within the couple comes from the heart. In Argentine Tango, there are no fixed step patterns, but countless step combinations, which can, however, be traced back to basic steps. To dance Argentine Tango beautifully and enjoyably, you don't need many spectacular figures and step combinations, but rather unity and harmony within the couple and with the music. "The Tango - that's two serious faces and four legs having fun." - Carlo Labin La PintaLa Pinta literally translates to "good appearance." But it means much, much more. La Pinta describes the posture, the way a dance couple moves, how someone walks and stands, the charisma and harmony the couple possesses. The quality of the dance does not depend on the number of figures danced, but on the elegance of the dancers' movements, the harmony within the couple, the embrace, and, most importantly, the harmony with the music.Asi Se Baila el Tango - This is how you dance the Tango - La Pinta The MilongaDancing tango at a milonga is a social event. Not only the individual couple is the focus, but also the interaction with other couples. Consideration for other couples is of the highest priority. Anyone who has experienced the atmosphere in a traditional milonga in Buenos Aires knows what is meant. Jumping into gaps, widely sweeping figures, high boleos and flying legs are just as taboo as backward steps. The dancers stay in their lane, dance small but elegantly, and move in the direction of the dance. Tango dancing is walking to the music. The entire dance floor flows. Please do not confuse a milonga with a tango show! |
